Tech Lead

About

Santiago Jimenez Quintero

I'm a Tech Lead with more than five years of experience building products end to end. Most of my work has been across TypeScript, Node.js, React, Java, SQL, and microservices.

What I enjoy most is taking messy or ambiguous ideas and turning them into software that works well in production. Lately I've been building small AI products from scratch, shipping them quickly, and learning from real users as I go. At work, we've also started incorporating AI engineering into development workflows and related areas to improve how we explore, build, and deliver software.

Sr. Software Engineer

Alteryx

  • Successfully transitioned our architecture to a microservices model, migrating owned services and data to enhance scalability and reliability.
  • Improved monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards by migrating to Datadog, resulting in better system observability and incident response.
  • Managed the deployment process to production for our services, introducing these practices to the team.
  • Effectively planned and delivered complex features, delegating tasks and collaborating across teams with product managers, designers, and related engineering teams.
  • Helped incorporate AI engineering into development workflows and related areas to improve team velocity, exploration, and delivery quality.
  • More recently, I have been using Codex in my day-to-day development work to move faster when exploring, building, and refining features.
  • Established as a go-to person for technical advice, particularly in debugging, monitoring, and complex technical designs.

Personal Projects

These are two products I've been building in 2026. Both started as rough ideas and helped me sharpen how I build, ship, and refine products end to end.

Tool for turning LinkedIn posts into branded visuals

  • Built and launched a product that turns written LinkedIn posts into polished branded visuals in under a minute.
  • Designed and shipped the full stack myself using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Built with Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor as part of the development workflow, taking advantage of newer capabilities such as skills and MCP integrations to move faster during prototyping and implementation.
  • Added templates, styling controls, and brand customization so the output feels consistent without a lot of manual design work.

Recipe app for turning rough inputs into shareable recipes

  • Built and launched a product that turns handwritten recipes, voice notes, and pasted text into clean, shareable recipes.
  • Focused on making the flow simple so people can go from messy input to a usable result in a few minutes.
  • Built the product end to end with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Used Codex and Claude Code throughout development, including features such as skills and MCPs, to speed up iteration while keeping the product quality bar high.
  • Started with a loose idea and shaped the product by iterating on the UX and real use cases around preserving and sharing family recipes.
  • Put it in front of real users and used that feedback to keep improving the experience.
